Marianne has worked in health
care for the past 40 years. She has a Bachelor of Nursing (science)
degree, Orthopaedic Nursing and Health Service Management
qualifications. Marianne has extensive clinical and administration experience
and has worked in the areas of acute surgical, orthopaedic trauma/spinal and
high dependency units and has held Clinical Nurse Specialist, After Hours Care
Coordinator and Coordinator of Acute Care Services positions. Marianne was
the Director of Nursing with St John of God Hospital, Bunbury before taking up
an appointment as the Regional Nurse Director for the West Australian Country
Health Service - South West. Within both nurse director positions Marianne
has been instrumental in expanding and enhancing cancer and palliative care
services across the South West Region.
Ms Kerry Quake
Kerry Quake is currently working for Advocacy South West
as an Advocate Officer and is undertaking a Bachelor of Social Work at ECU in
Bunbury. Kerry has a Cert IV in Business and worked in retail for 16 years,
including five years as a Sales Manager. Kerry has been involved in children’s
life skills workshops and camps run by community organisations in Perth and the
South West. Kerry owned Busy Buddies Children’s Programs which involved
management, programme development and delivery of after school, life skills and
self-esteem workshops.
Mrs Carolyn Ngan
Carolyn trained as an Occupational Therapist in New
Zealand and has worked in human services and health sectors for the past 30
years in clinical, policy, planning and managerial positions. She has a post
graduate degree in Health Sciences and holds a Masters in Leadership and
Management. She has worked for the Disability Services Commission, Mental
Health Services and WA Country Health Services in the Perth metropolitan and
South West region over the last 20 years. During this time, Carolyn also took a
secondment to work at the South West Aboriginal Medical Service for several
years to assist them establish the clinical service and continues to provide a
consultation service in clinical areas. Carolyn developed the Certificate IV
Mental Health Practice at the South West Regional College of TAFE and continues
to lecture in mental health part time. Carolyn is currently employed by the WA
Country Health Service as Operations Manager for Inland Districts.
Trevor Blackburn
Trevor has a BA of Social Work and a background in various management roles. Trevor has worked in the areas of child protection, mental health, asylum seekers, forensic social work, domestic violence, grief, loss and bereavement, homelessness, counselling and coordination of social work field education. Trevor is experienced in conducting psychotherapeutic groups and has worked as a social worker in rural, remote, regional and international contexts. Trevor’s practice interests include mental health, family relationships and grief and loss. Trevor is currently employed as the Manager of South West Services for Richmond Fellowship of WA Inc.
